Ken says, "I knew the Lord had called me to Ministry while still a pre-teen, but willfully chose to rebel and run from Him and His call on my life. In the mid-80’s I surrendered my life to Him, quit running from Him and ran toward Him instead. I have been actively involved in fundamental churches ever since, and have spent much time in teaching and leadership roles as God continued to train me for the Ministry. In spite of my lack of faith, He somehow worked out the obstacles that I saw and allowed me to become a full-time Pastor."
"I like to say that I am a recovering-Rebel, that Jesus isn’t nearly finished working on me, but that I have learned to yield to His molding and shaping rather than resist it. In September of 2005 He took me from behind the steering wheel of an 18-wheeler and stood me up behind the Pulpit at Calvary Bible Church. I continued to drive truck part-time until the Church formally called me as their Pastor in May of 2007. I pursued “official” schooling from Moody Bible Institute through their Distance Learning Program with the goal of achieving an Associate’s Degree in Biblical Studies by the time I turned 65! By God’s grace and with His help and the help and support of my wife and the Church, I successfully accomplished that goal in the Spring of 2014’!
