Ephesians 5:6-7: “Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore, do not be partners with them.”
The world needs to see more Christians who are willing to March against the flow and do what is right. When everyone else is retreating and compromising their convictions, Christians should March forward and advance the cause of biblical truth. To advance truth is to live lives worthy of our calling. It is to hate sin rather than condone it. It is to love the right so much that we deal quickly with wrongdoing; in our Churches, families, and private lives. It is to read the Word of God and spend time in prayer, so our hearts are soft and pliable. It is to share the gospel clearly every opportunity we are given. With each bold step we March forward, our enemy will fall back. Instead of retreating, we will gain ground.
The most immoral word in the English language for the believer may well be “compromise.” Christians should be ever so careful when asked to tolerate it in their lives. Have you allowed the fear of friends, family, co-workers, or teachers to make you retreat from spiritual battles instead of March boldly toward them? Have you slowly backed away from your convictions because you do not think the ground is worth defending anymore? Stand your ground! Better yet, March forward against the flow of compromisers around you. Spiritual victory is yours for the taking.
