While we do have a responsibility be good stewards of our earthly citizenship, to be politically aware, engaged and responsible, to fight for what is good and right, we need to remember that God works through the message of the Gospel to change the hearts of men. Our primary call is to remember we are His Ambassadors and to spread the Good News of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. But we also need to take a stand for what is biblically right in the political arena. We must remember that God is sovereignly in control of both, and while at times He uses us to accomplish His purpose in each arena, only one has eternal consequence and reward, and therefore must be our priority!
