Welcome to Calvary Bible Church. We have been serving Jesus Christ in Fond du Lac and the surrounding area for over 50 years! We are not flashy, just faithful, and by His grace we will continue faithful until He comes again for His church just as He promised. We welcome all to worship with us who love the Lord Jesus Christ, desire to worship Him in spirit and truth, and who recognize their need to be grounded in God's Word. I couldn’t help notice that the World of Television is
seeking to recapture our time and attention with the introduction of the Fall line-up of programs. Maybe the following will give you something to think about as you decide how to spend your “discretionary” time. I confess I too spend more time than I should in front of that “idiot-box,” as my Dad used to call it! The TV Psalm The TV is my Shepherd, I shall turn it on. It maketh me lie down on the sofa. It leadeth me away from the Scriptures. It ravisheth my soul. It leadeth me in the paths of ignorance and violence, for the Sponsor's sake. Yea, though I walk in the shadow of my responsibilities to my family and my Creator, there will be no interruptions, for the TV is with me. Its cable and its remote control, they comfort me. It prepareth a commercial before me. It planteth lies and lusts within my mind. It anointeth my head with materialism. My coveting runneth over. Surely laziness and ignorance shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house watching TV and its propaganda forever.
