February is often called the “Love” month, demonstrated by many in the celebration of Valentine’s Day. While I’m not against the celebration, as Believers we need to remember the difference between the world’s definition and expression of love, and ours as God defined it and commanded it.
John 13:34-35: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”

Hate is a boiling cauldron,
Spewing forth scalding bitterness….
Hate is Hell.
Indifference is a stagnant slough,
Calm of surface, but with Death in its depths…. Indifference is a graveyard.
Love is a gently flowing stream,
Life-giving, life-bearing, ever growing deeper and stronger,
On its steady journey to the great sea:
Love is of God.
