Father, they will not hear Me.
Why will they not hear Me?
I have given them Thy Word;
Not My thoughts –
Not My opinions –
Not My judgments;
Just Thy Word.
They will hear Thy word through Moses –
Why not through Me?
They believe Thy Words through the Prophets,
Though they do them not;
But if they will not believe what I say,
How can they do Thy will?
Let Me go to them again, just this once-
Surely, surely they will believe this time.
Am I not Thy Son,
Thine only-begotten Son?
The cross. The nails.
The blows of the hammer.
No. No, they will not hear Me,
Even this time.
Father, it is finished.
